Sarvjeet Singh came in news when a girl named Jasleen Kaur, a student of Delhi’s St Stephen’s College, had posted a photo of Sarvjeet Singh at a traffic signal and had claimed that Sarvjeet Singh had passed obscene comments at her. She also claimed that Sarvjeet had threatened her as she tried to click his photo. Jasleeen Kaur’s Facebook post had gone viral and changed the life of Sarvjeet Singh in overnight.

This incident happened on 23 august 2015. It has been four years since this incident. And finally, after a long battle of four years, Sarvjeet Singh has was declared innocent and acquitted by the court in October 2019.
Sarvjeet Singh told in an interview that – the allegations against him are baseless But in these four years his life is destroyed, He was fired from his job because his photo went viral. He started working somewhere else at a meager salary, but due to the court date, he had to take leaves. Due to this, he had to leave the job from there too. His father has had a heart attack. Now his family was facing financial problems also.
He also told that he was attending every hearing of the court, but that girl Jasleen Kaur did not come to court even once. Her father explained in the court that she is studying abroad to make her career, due to which she is unable to come to the hearing.
Sarvjeet Singh faced disappointment in these last four years, people started him abusing, commenting lewd, named him as Dilli Ka Darinda, Pervert, etc. but Servjeet never changed his statement, he was adamant that he did nothing. In this situation, a lawyer Amit Agarwal (High Court Lawyer), came to handle this case from Sarvjeet’s side.
After acquitted by the court, Servjeet’s life changed in a better way. He received an award on the International Men’s day for his patience, resilience, simplicity, and modesty.
He appeared in various interviews & media channels during this case and after also.
On 12 January 2020, he performed as a motivational speaker at the stage of TEDx Chandighar. He shared his experiences here.
